Strong Retention Rates
- 72% of players who participated in all three sessions last year returned this season.
- 67% of players who participated in Sessions 1 & 2 returned.
- Even among players who joined later, nearly half of our Session 3-only participants returned this year (so far!).
These numbers show that the more exposure kids have to LTPH, the more likely they are to keep playing and growing with us.
Building the Pipeline to House & Travel
This season, 72 players from last year’s LTPH sessions have moved into our core programs, including:
- 34 in 6U
- 10 in 8U
- 10 in All Year Learn To Play (so far)
- 8 in Learn To Play (single session ... so far)
- Players continuing into 10U/12U Development & Growth, 12U Tier 4, and 10U/12U Tier 4 Girls
That’s momentum. It shows that LTPH isn’t just about one season — it’s about building the foundation for lasting growth in our House and Travel programs.
A Proven Model for Growth
The data is clear: multiple-session participation leads to stronger retention and development. By encouraging families to enroll in more than one session, we are creating confident players who are ready to step into the next level of hockey.
Why It Matters
Every hour invested in LTPH today pays dividends tomorrow. We are:
- Growing our House programs with skilled, confident players.
- Creating a culture of continuity, where families stay engaged and invested year after year.
- Strengthening the future of Midcoast Youth Hockey — one Learn to Play session at a time.
