Welcome NEW and returning Hockey Coaches!

Bill Huot is our new coaching coordinator at Midcoast Hockey and as summarized coaching information below.  There are two mandatory coaches meetings coming up on Sept. 24 (off ice) and Oct. 12 (on ice).  Important details below.

There will be a pre-season coaches meeting September 24th 7:00pm for ALL coaches new and returning.

The meeting will be held at Fort Andross in Brunswick, 4th floor, turn right out of Elevator Bays to the open door at the end of the hallway.

There will also be an on-ice meeting 8:00pm-9:00pm October 12th at Watson.

8:00-8:15 pm Concussion Awareness. Joe Shaw, Trainer, Bowdoin College Hockey.  Skates on buckled up and ready to go at 8:00 please.

8:15-9:00 pm On-Ice Drills Jamie Dumont, Assistant Coach, Bowdoin College Hockey

Equipment required:

Helmet

Gloves

Skates

Stick

Coaching Attire:

We would like to have everyone who is coaching try to have either a dark blue or black hockey attire (top and bottom).  This will help the organization look more organized and the parents can readily recognize coaches.  I understand it is an additional cost so hopefully getting this information out early we can have enough time to plan, save and shop for the proper attire.

Some coaches have inquired about coaching certifications.  USA hockey has recently posted clinics to the USA hockey website which can be found at the following address.

Sun 11/22 at UMO, Orono time tbd, and

Please carefully review and complete the list of preseason coaching requirements and training at the coaching tab on our website, don't delay!
