Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance Fund Application

The Midcoast Youth Hockey Association tuition assistance program was established to assist those players who require financial assistance for hockey.

Funds will be allocated based on stated need relative to other applicants and availability of funds. If you require financial assistance to stay in hockey, we encourage you to apply early as there is a limited pool of funds available each year.

Please note that the award may be for a portion or the full amount requested ...  Awards rarely exceed 50% of the full tuition.

In addition, awards will not be made to offset the USAH/MeAHA fees imposed as part of the registration process. These fees are not imposed by Midcoast but rather the state and national organizations to defray across-the-board shared costs, for instance, insurance, coaching certification, background checks etc.

Although no monetary re-payment is expected we hope that those whose need is temporary will make a voluntary contribution to the fund so others can benefit in later years. In addition we will work with the parents of each recipient to identify volunteer opportunities as a way of giving back to the MCYH organization.
